National Bell Festival
Platform: Drupal 10
I originally built the National Bell Festival website with Drupal 7 in 2019 and have led its maintenance since launch. In recent years, I performed a full migration from Drupal 7 to Drupal 10, implementing a new custom theme and modern content architecture. The rebuild included migrating legacy content types, reworking Views and taxonomies, and developing flexible templates for event listings, press releases, and festival updates. The result is a future-ready Drupal 10 site that’s easier to maintain and empowers content editors to manage annual festival content with minimal developer intervention.
Metro Motor
Platform: Drupal 10
I originally developed the Metro Motor website nearly a decade ago and have supported it through multiple platform updates, most recently migrating it to Drupal 10 with a fresh design and theme. The site features location pages for many service centers across D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, each with unique contact information, services, and hours managed through a centralized content system. The Drupal 10 rebuild modernized the theme, improved site performance, and streamlined content management for non-technical staff.
PeraWatt
Platform: Wordpress
As a Web Development Advisor for FedTech, I’ve built and launched upwards of 100 startup landing pages and websites using WordPress, ACF Pro and Elementor. To streamline development, I created reusable templates and component libraries that allow founders to launch professional, scalable sites quickly. Each build emphasizes performance, accessibility, and ease of maintenance for non-technical users. Perawatt.com serves as an example — a fast, modern landing page highlighting clean energy innovation with an intuitive, mobile-friendly design.
ImageWorks Creative
Platform: Drupal 10
As the in-house lead developer at ImageWorks Creative beginning in 2011, I oversaw the development and maintenance of the agency’s website as well as dozens of Drupal/Wordpress client sites showcased in the portfolio. I leveraged custom jQuery and CSS3 animations to highlight portfolio projects, client testimonials, awards, and other key content in an engaging, interactive way. I also implemented a structured approach to integrate Schema.org markup across the site, supporting the agency’s broader SEO strategy.
Fantasy Orphans
Platform: Drupal 11
Fantasy Orphans is a passion project born out of one of my hobbies: dynasty fantasy football. Dynasty is a twist on fantasy football where you keep your team year to year and can continue on playing indefinitely as you replenish your aging and retiring players with rookies as they come into the league. An “orphan” is a team that has been abandoned by its owner, and to keep the league going you need to find another person to take over the management of that team. I noticed a difficulty in approaching this and created the website to help match available managers to orphaned teams. The site uses a custom module to integrate with Sleeper‘s Fantasy Football API and pull in player and team data, and offers various tools to help ease the process of finding a replacement. Since launching the website in late January 2026, it has had over 2,100 unique visitors and over 250 registered user accounts. April through August is the busiest season for dynasty fantasy football signups and I look forward to seeing how the site continues to grow during that time.
TalkNats
Platform: Wordpress
I helped launch TalkNats from its earliest concept, including all development work involved in the setup and even contributing to the name. The site has grown into one of the most active Washington Nationals fan communities, known for its in-depth articles and lively in-game discussion threads powered by Disqus. I’ve continued to support the site’s growth, most recently leading the transition to a subscription-based model using MemberPress and Stripe payment integration. Today, TalkNats serves tens of thousands of readers each month and maintains several hundred active paying subscribers.
Frequently Asked Questions
Straightforward answers to common questions about platforms, maintenance, and how we can work together.
Platforms like Wix and Squarespace, or even AI-driven builders, are great for quickly getting a simple website online, but they can become limiting as your needs grow. WordPress and Drupal give you far more flexibility, have similar drag & drop page builders, and give you the ability to customize functionality without being locked into a platform. You will actually own your website and have the freedom to move it wherever you see fit in the future as your needs change. On a platform like Wix or Squarespace you will never truly own your website, and if you leave you will start from scratch.
Websites aren’t “set it and forget it.” Updates to the CMS, plugins, and hosting environment are important for security, performance, and compatibility. Regular maintenance helps prevent issues before they become problems.
Maintenance usually covers core and plugin updates, security monitoring, backups, small content or layout updates, and troubleshooting issues as they come up.
Yes. Whether your design comes from a designer, a template, or even an AI tool, I can turn it into a fully functional Drupal or WordPress website with flexible, editable content.
A lot of my work involves improving and maintaining existing websites — fixing issues, updating designs, improving performance, or adding new functionality.
It depends on the scope, but smaller updates or builds can take a few days, while larger or more complex projects may take longer. Most minor edits and bug fixes can be accommodated within hours. I can usually give a clear timeline after a quick discussion.
Yes — that’s a big part of the goal. I build sites so content can be easily updated without needing to touch code.
Yes. I work with many clients on an ongoing basis to keep their sites updated, secure, and running smoothly.
